The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB Group) invites applications for a Senior Associate in Incident Response and Forensics to join the Cybersecurity Team within Technology and Transformation. Based at our Headquarters in Washington, D.C., this role offers visa and relocation support, and strengthens security across cloud and on‑prem environments.

You will coordinate detection and triage of security alerts, lead incident response with internal teams and MSPs, perform digital forensics, and

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in Mathematics, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree may be considered in lieu of a Master’s.
• 3+ years with Master’s or 6+ years with Bachelor’s in cybersecurity, digital forensics, SOC/CERT, or related fields.
• English proficiency required; knowledge of another official language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate cyber incident detection and triage of security alerts.
• Coordinate incident response management across internal and external teams; contain threats and recover.
• Perform digital forensics exercises, evidence collection, and handling with chain of custody.
• Threat analysis and reporting; conduct root-cause analysis and recommend measures.
• Ensure investigations comply with regulations and standards; update playbooks and training.
• Serve as technical focal point for guidance to junior staff; communicate with stakeholders.
