Job summary

W-Industries seeks a Senior I&E Designer to develop, review, and coordinate instrumentation and electrical design packages for industrial and energy projects. The role includes creating detailed drawings, layouts, and schematics while mentoring junior designers and CAD staff.

The candidate should have a strong refinery, petrochemical, and industrial facility background and be able to independently execute design packages, perform field walkdowns, and coordinate across engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

• Education: Associates degree or technical diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology, Drafting, or related field.
• Technical degree or certification in drafting, electrical technology, or a related field is a plus.
• Experience: 10+ years of I&E design experience, with at least 3 years in a senior design role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review detailed I&E drawings, including wiring diagrams, schematics, loop diagrams, and panel layouts.
• Develop cable and conduit routing, termination schedules, and equipment layouts.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, ISA, IEEE, and client-specific standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and construction teams to resolve design issues.
• Create and maintain accurate as-built drawings and redlines.
• Support field teams with design clarifications and technical guidance.
• Coordinate with procurement for materials lists and equipment specifications.
• Mentor and provide training to junior designers and CAD personnel.
• Participate in design reviews and project meetings to ensure quality and accuracy.
