Job summary

Fluor Infrastructure B.V. invites applications for a Safety Specialist (HVK) to safeguard a safe working environment across major infra projects in the Netherlands. You will advise, support and guide project teams in line with current laws, guidelines and project requirements.

You will proactively identify and control risks, prevent incidents, and strengthen a culture of safety ownership, collaborating with subcontractors and stakeholders on safety plans and training.

Qualifications

• HVK diploma or higher safety qualification required.
• Proven experience with safety management on large infra projects.
• Strong knowledge of Dutch safety regulations and construction standards.
• Experience performing internal safety audits and risk analyses.
• Excellent command of Dutch and English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Promote and embed Fluor Infrastructure safety philosophy across projects.
• Independently assess safety vs project priorities and act decisively.
• Drive continuous safety improvements and safe work practices.
• Assist in developing and updating RI&Es and TRA in all project phases.
• Advise on project-specific safety plans and controls.
• Ensure compliance with contract, legislation and internal guidelines.
• Conduct safety inspections, audits and site observations.
• Report findings and initiate corrective actions as needed.
• Monitor safety performance and analyze incidents to identify root causes.
• Lead safety trainings, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
