Job summary

Keune Haircosmetics Manufacturing B.V. in the Netherlands seeks an experienced Senior Cosmetic Chemist to lead development of haircare products and drive NPD from briefs to launch.

You will work hands-on in the lab, guide medior and junior chemists, and collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance formulations. You will develop and optimize haircare, hairstyling, and color formulations, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and influence innovation through

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or related field.
• At least 7 years of relevant cosmetic formulation and development experience.
• Strong expertise in hair products and product launches.
• Ability to lead and guide junior chemists and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Eligible to work in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned new product development projects from brief to commercialization.
• Develop and optimize haircare, hairstyling, and hair color formulations in the lab.
• Act as technical reference, review briefs, identify risks, and plan development.
• Lead technical discussions with clients alongside PM and Commercial teams.
• Mentor junior and mid-level chemists on shared projects.
• Plan, document, and follow up on testing, submissions, and stability studies.
• Identify delays or challenges and drive solutions with stakeholders.
• Support scale-up, first production runs, and troubleshooting with Production/QC.
• Monitor market trends and translate insights into innovation concepts.
