Job summary

Van Oord is seeking an (Senior) Legal Counsel International Projects to serve as a trusted adviser to tendering, operations, project, procurement and logistics teams on international offshore construction contracts.

You will draft, review and negotiate major contracts, including FIDIC and LOGIC, and provide pragmatic, commercially sound guidance in a high-risk, time-critical environment.

This role offers broad development opportunities within a global, collaborative team at Van Oord.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years post-qualification experience in construction law.
• UK or common law background preferred.
• Experience in maritime/offshore energy sector highly valued.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to advise stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Advise on contracts and risk allocation for offshore projects.
• Support tendering, project, procurement, operations, and logistics teams.
• Advise on insurance, safety, and environmental matters.
• Manage claims and disputes to protect commercial interests.
