Job summary

Fugro is seeking a Senior Full-stack Developer for the VirGeoLocation program in Nootdorp, Netherlands. You will design and implement full-stack web apps and platform services using React, TypeScript, Node.js and Python, with AI agents and GIS components at the core.

You will drive real-time geodata integrations, scale cloud-native services, and mentor teammates while shaping architectural decisions and development practices. A strong background in cloud platforms and mapping tech is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of full-stack development experience in enterprise or data-intensive environments.
• Strong front-end craft with JavaScript/TypeScript and React or equivalent frameworks; back-end with Python, Java or Node.js, API design and data modeling.
• Cloud platform experience (AWS or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) with production reliability.
• Experience with AI coding agents, context engineering and agent-based development is a plus.
• Familiarity with mapping libraries, spatial data handling, and modern identity & access management.
• Excellent communication and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team with Product, Design and DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Design and build full-stack web apps and platform services (React, TS, Node.js, Python).
• Develop interactive map-based tools with real-time data integration and GIS components.
• Evolve cloud-native services for multi-tenant, scalable operations.
• Contribute to architecture decisions; collaborate with Product, Design and DevOps.
• Mentor colleagues, champion code quality, reviews and guardrails.
• Advance AI-assisted delivery through context engineering and agent-based workflows.
