Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer who champions AI and automation. You will lead the end-to-end technical delivery of innovative AI solutions, collaborating with Legal, Support, and Operations to reduce manual toil and accelerate day-to-day work.

You will write critical code, configure systems, and deploy on GCP/Kubernetes, Vertex AI, and enterprise apps. This role emphasizes hands-on engineering, fast iteration, and turning non-technical requirements

Senior Forward Deployed Engineer

the company’s Business Enablement Engineering Team is looking for a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer who has a deep passion for AI and Automation. They will work on improving how teams work using their day to day productivity tooling by applying AI and automation where it has a huge effect and value.

You will be the primary driver of internal teams adopting and taking full advantage of our productivity tooling landscape. Operating as a highly technical expert, specialized, engineer, you will work with and dive deep into non-technical functions such as Legal, Support, and Operations to understand their operational toil, architect the right solutions, to reduce manual work in key business workflows, with the goal of speeding up the teams overall day to day work.

This isn't just about coding, it's about deeply understanding our internal team's most complex problems, leading the end-to-end technical delivery of innovative AI solutions, and empowering these teams to operate faster and smarter. You will be a hands-on engineer, shaping technical strategy and ensuring successful outcomes from initial concept to handover while increasing overall adoption of our tooling ecosystem.

What you will do

• You build robust and resilient systems where maintenance is lower or non-existent. You build on top of our existing internal ecosystem or stakeholder tooling to accelerate teams productivity and user experience.

• You create long-term high-quality documentation and runbooks. You hand ownership back to the function/team before moving on to your next project.

• You identify repeated patterns of stakeholder issues or asks that feed back into Business Enablements Tooling roadmap.

• Automate complex internal processes using Google Vertex AI, Google’s Agent Development Kit (ADK), and software engineering to provide solutions(e.g., automated support agents, intelligent documentation retrieval, contract review automations).

• Be responsible for the end-to-end technical delivery of complex technical solutions. You will personally write critical code, configure systems, and troubleshoot issues to ensure successful deployment and measurable business impact.

• Embrace the company's "launch fast" formula. Quickly develop proofs-of-concept and minimum viable products, translating non-technical business requirements into technical solutions, and gathering feedback along the way.

• Identify, analyze, and directly resolve the most complex technical challenges during all phases of the project, from complex data integrations on GCP/Kubernetes to advanced AI agent orchestration.

Who you are

• You are an expert in Software Engineering and bring strong automation skills, with the ability to build, troubleshoot, and scale scripts and tools independently.

• You have a deep understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, and applied ML workflows. You have hands-on experience integrating third-party AI models (e.g., Gemini) and using agentic orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, Google ADK).

• You have hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) especially integrating applications across services like Vertex AI as well as deploying to on-premise infrastructure such as K8S, Postgres, Redis etc.

• You’ve successfully rolled out and maintained integrations across a variety of enterprise applications (Slack Enterprise Grid, Zoom, Atlassian suite).

• You are great at understanding and translating non-technical issues into technical requirements. You can confidently navigate stakeholder conversations, present complex concepts simply, and create high-quality documentation.

• You apply a security-first mindset, designing solutions that safeguard data and systems while maintaining a seamless user experience.

• You have a "get-things-done" mentality, focusing on fast and impactful delivery, and the proven ability to lead technical initiatives autonomously.
