Job summary

Rambus is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to join the Silicon IP Development team in the Netherlands. You will work on secure embedded software across on-chip firmware, drivers, and application layers, with strong C++ and Linux expertise.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams and a focus on performance and security are essential. The role covers a broad range of embedded system development, including hardware abstraction modeling, tooling, and verification support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• Experience in embedded security software development.
• Expert level C++ development, preferably on Linux.
• Experience with multithreading applications.
• Comfortable with hardware design and embedded optimization.
• Experience with hardware abstraction modeling and SystemC/TLM 2.0 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Specify, develop, deploy, benchmark and maintain embedded security software.
• Hands-on development with timely documentation and reviews.
• Refactor existing software to improve reliability and performance.
• Coordinate testing, packaging, deployment and secure data handling.
• Collaborate with engineers on code reviews and internal infrastructure.
• Define product architecture with cross-functional teams.
