Job summary

Eligo Recruitment is hiring a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to lead brownfield upgrades inside live, operational data centres across Europe, where equipment must be replaced without downtime.

You will build phased execution plans, develop load transfer scenarios, perform risk analyses and review designs for quality and buildability, coordinating stakeholders and ensuring IEC/NEN compliance.

Qualifications

• Around eight years in electrical project engineering on data centre or mission critical sites.
• Detailed knowledge of MV/LV distribution systems, UPS and generator installations
• Experience with risk analysis, load transfer strategy and phased execution in live environments
• Working knowledge of neighbouring disciplines: mechanical installations, BMS and fire safety
• Experience running small to medium projects including planning, stakeholder coordination and budget
• Fluent Dutch and English

• Managing brownfield upgrade projects inside operational data centres, from planning through to delivery
• Replacing and renovating UPS systems, generators and MV/LV installations in live environments

Could you swap out a UPS without the data centre noticing?

That is the job. Our client is hiring a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to lead brownfield upgrades inside live, operational data centres, where the equipment has to be replaced while the load stays up and the redundancy architecture stays intact.

You would be working on UPS systems, generators and MV/LV installations, building the phased execution plans and load transfer scenarios that make a replacement possible without downtime. Every upgrade starts with a technical risk analysis and an honest assessment of what the change does to resilience, and that analysis is yours to make.

Our client is an international engineering and design consultancy whose Mission Critical Facilities team works with colocation providers, internet service providers and telecoms operators across Europe and beyond. The team is multidisciplinary and international, and this role is based in eastern Netherlands with travel to the Amsterdam region and further afield.

What is on offer

€55,000 to €85,000 base salary depending on experience, with annual increases. Pension, holiday allowance and profit share sit on top of that figure, including an 18.3% employer pension contribution, a 2.15% personal budget, annual profit sharing and a share purchase scheme. Twenty-eight holiday days with the option to buy up to 16.5 more, hybrid working with flexible hours, a home office allowance and a sustainable commuting incentive.
