DataChef in the Netherlands is seeking a Senior Data/Software Engineer to design and deliver data products and pipelines. The role is hybrid, based in the Netherlands with on-site days as needed, and emphasizes collaboration with client teams to ensure quality and timely delivery.

You will build data pipelines in a data mesh environment using Python, SQL, Terraform, and GCP services, while guiding architecture decisions and maintaining reliability across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Strong Python and SQL proficiency with production-grade code.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and GCP services.
• Experience building data pipelines in a data mesh environment.
• Consulting mindset with ability to clarify requirements.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines and data products in a value stream team.
• Work within a data mesh architecture and contribute to domain data ownership.
• Identify gaps and ensure they are resolved with stakeholders.
• Alternate between delivery sprints and alignment phases; both valued.
• Communicate blockers, risks, and decisions to DataChef and client stakeholders.
