Job summary

Samba TV in Amsterdam is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead modeling methodology and production ML systems. You will drive end-to-end data science projects from scoping to deployment and mentor junior team members.

You will build and operate AI systems using RAG, LLM-augmented modeling, and graph neural networks, integrating LLMs into production pipelines and collaborating with Data Engineering to ensure robust data delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data science or related field.
• Proven track record delivering end-to-end data science projects.
• Expertise in ML, Python, PySpark, and Databricks.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of data science projects from problem scoping through production deployment.
• Define and ship modeling methodology for data products.
• Build production-quality Python and PySpark on Databricks.
• Partner with Data Engineering to define data requirements and validate pipelines.
• Build and operate AI systems using RAG, LLM-augmented modeling, and Graph Neural Networks.
• Integrate LLMs and agentic workflows into production ML pipelines.
• Drive technical design for modeling components.
• Translate business requirements into modeling solutions.
• Mentor data scientists through structured feedback and design review.
• Establish and operate MLOps practices: experiment tracking, pipeline orchestration, model monitoring.
