Job summary

Deftpower is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own and evolve the data domain as the company scales. You’ll shape data strategy, build pipelines on Azure, and translate business needs into practical data solutions.

You’ll work closely with Product, Operations and Finance to deliver actionable insights. You’ll develop reliable data pipelines, dashboards in Power BI, and contribute to data modelling while keeping releases aligned with the data model.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in data engineering or analytics.
• Ability to design scalable data models and pipelines.
• Experience translating business needs into data solutions.
• Willingness to lead and grow into a team lead.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage ETL and ELT pipelines across datasets.
• Design scalable and usable data models.
• Consolidate data from multiple internal and external sources.
• Support fraud detection, invoicing and operational processes with reliable data.
• Create dashboards and insights in Power BI used by teams.
• Guard data quality and ensure releases align with the data model.
• Develop simple API integrations/extractions with .NET (pre).
