Xebia Group is seeking a senior Data Engineer to design and implement robust data infrastructures for client projects in the Netherlands. You will build scalable data pipelines, leverage cloud platforms, and contribute to a culture of excellence through collaboration and continuous learning.

The role involves working on-site with clients in a dynamic team, applying modern tools like Airflow, Spark, Flink, and Druid to deliver reliable data processing and analytics capabilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Fluent in Dutch.
• Experience with data-intensive systems and cloud environments.

As a data engineer, you are responsible for the implementation of the foundations of data-intensive systems. You develop enabling infrastructure to store, transform, and process data at scale and in the cloud. You make sure that data is stored safely and securely using the technology that you see fit for the job.

What you will do to make data-intensive applications work effectively and securely?

With your knowledge of software engineering, cloud, clusters, queues, containers, streaming, or graphs, you’ll be working on the backbone of the data infrastructure. There’s a lot of data to store, many jobs to run and schedule, and many configurations to be dealt with. But don’t worry, this is where you’ll thrive. You’ll work at the client in teams that are a mix of people from Xebia and the client, picking up the work that is related to that backbone on which the team is building. The Data Engineer role is a senior position with a central role in our clients’ teams, and therefore we require at least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
