Syone is looking for a Senior Cyber Security Architect to join their team in the Netherlands. This role involves developing and maintaining cybersecurity architecture, collaborating with stakeholders, and producing technical documentation. Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of experience in cybersecurity and a strong understanding of security architecture and concepts.

We are looking for a Senior Cyber Security Architect to join our team.
Develop and maintain cybersecurity architecture deliverables, including architecture models linking systems, applications, and business processes.
Define and evolve cybersecurity service roadmaps, supporting mid- and long-term capability development.
Design and maintain security architecture standards, instructions, and reference solutions from tactical to strategic levels.
Contribute to the development of cyber capabilities, concepts, and architectural frameworks.
Collaborate with stakeholders such as NCSC, NCIA, and other technical teams to align cybersecurity strategies and initiatives.
Produce high-quality technical documentation, architecture artefacts, and security reports.
Support the design of secure systems across on-premise and cloud environments.
Participate in cybersecurity research, concept development, and technical innovation activities.
Ensure alignment of security architecture with organizational risk management and operational requirements.
Availability to work in a hybrid model in the Netherlands.
Minimum 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security architecture, or complex IT environments.
Strong experience in security architecture design and capability delivery.
Solid understanding of system engineering artefacts, technical requirements, and architecture modelling.
Experience developing cybersecurity concepts, research, or advanced security frameworks.
Strong knowledge of cryptography and PKI concepts.
Solid understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) principles.
Experience with network security, monitoring, detection, segmentation, and firewall technologies.
Good understanding of Zero Trust architecture principles.
Knowledge of risk management frameworks and methodologies.
Awareness of AI-related cybersecurity risks and computer forensics concepts.
Ability to model complex systems using architecture frameworks, with strong proficiency in ArchiMate.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Strong command of English (STANAG 6001 Level 3 or equivalent professional proficiency).
Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, or approximately 10 years of equivalent experience.
Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM or GIAC are preferred (not mandatory).
Architecture certifications such as TOGAF, ArchiMate, or ITIL are an advantage.
Experience in military or government environments is considered a strong asset.
