Job summary

Coinmerce, a Dutch-founded European crypto services company with a Schiphol-Rijk office, seeks a Senior Financial Controller to oversee financial operations, accounting practices, and reporting. You will help senior leadership with informed decisions and ensure compliance with regulatory standards in the evolving crypto industry.

Responsibilities include monthly/quarterly/annual statements, month-end close, and cross-functional collaboration to improve financial efficiency and control

Qualifications

• Experience as a financial controller, preferably in crypto/fintech.
• Experience in fintech/crypto environments is advantageous.
• Strong organizational and communication skills in English.
• ERP experience (Netsuite/Exact) is a plus.
• Proactive, solution-oriented with independence or team work.
• Passion for financial management and accounting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Lead month-end close and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Ensure GAAP/IFRS and crypto regulations compliance.
• Assist budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Analyze performance and advise on cost optimization and revenue growth.
• Maintain internal controls and safeguard assets.
• Support recruiting and development of the finance team.
• Oversee crypto transactions valuation and tax treatment.
