Job summary

Amaris Consulting in the Netherlands seeks a Senior Consultant System Test to verify regulated medical software and connected healthcare products. You will translate requirements into test cases, design risk-based tests, and contribute to test automation in a high‑tech, international environment.

The role involves collaboration with software developers, systems engineers, and QA teams to ensure release readiness, traceability, and robust verification across functional and integration tests.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in system testing, software verification, system integration testing, or release verification.
• Professional experience testing regulated products (medical devices, healthcare tech, aerospace, automotive) or similar environments.
• Strong knowledge of requirement-based verification, risk-based testing, system-level test design, and traceability between requirements and test evidence.
• Hands-on experience creating and executing functional, integration, regression, and acceptance test cases.
• Experience with scripting languages and test automation tools, selecting approaches per system complexity and objectives.
• Experience with test management systems, defect tracking tools, version control, and structured engineering documentation.
• Knowledge of Behaviour-Driven Development, test automation frameworks, continuous testing, or AI in software testing is advantageous.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills across distributed teams in international settings.

Senior Consultant System Test

As a consultant, you will be embedded in a high‑tech innovation environment, contributing to the verification of regulated systems used in demanding clinical settings.

You will work on system verification for medical software and connected healthcare products. Your role will cover requirements analysis, risk-based test design, manual and automated test execution, system integration, defect investigation, release readiness, and the development of reusable test automation.

Skills & Experience

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in system testing, software verification, system integration testing, or release verification.
• Professional experience testing medical devices, Software as a Medical Device, healthcare technology, aerospace, automotive, or another regulated product environment.
• Strong knowledge of requirement-based verification, risk-based testing, system-level test design, and traceability between requirements and test evidence.
• Hands‑on experience creating and executing functional, integration, regression, and acceptance test cases.
• Practical experience with scripting languages and test automation tools, with the ability to select suitable approaches according to system complexity and test objectives.
• Experience using test management systems, defect tracking tools, version control, and structured engineering documentation.
• Experience with defect triage, root‑cause investigation, test reporting, requirement coverage analysis, and cross‑functional technical reviews.
• Knowledge of Behaviour‑Driven Development, test automation frameworks, continuous testing, or the use of AI in software testing is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills, a structured working style, and the ability to work with distributed engineering teams in an international environment.
