Job summary

ParkBee is seeking a Principal Security Engineer to own and drive security across the platform, cloud, devices, and AI usage. You will lead security strategy, and governance, and act as the technical decision-maker for security across ParkBee’s engineering, Platform and Ops teams.

You will mature secure development practices, extend scanning, manage vulnerability and incident response, and coordinate with Platform/Ops to raise the security bar as ParkBee scales across Europe.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of engineering experience with at least 3 focused on security.
• Experience owning security direction, standards and decisions.
• Strong judgement to prioritise risk and security work.
• Ability to influence across engineering, infrastructure and operations.
• Hands-on security expertise across secure SDLC, threat modelling and CI/CD security controls.
• Deep cloud security experience on AWS/EKS, IAM and network security.
• Experience with vulnerability management and incident response programmes.
• Experience selecting and rolling out security monitoring tools (SIEM/EDR or cloud-native).
• Working knowledge of OWASP, NIST, CIS, ISO 27001 or SOC 2.
• Nice to have: familiarity with TypeScript, C#, NodeJS, AI/LLM security, CISSP/CISM/OSCP/CKS

Responsibilities

• Define strategy, standards and roadmap for ParkBee security across engineering, Platform and Ops.
• Run vulnerability management end-to-end and lead bug-bounty/penetration testing programmes.
• Extend code scanning, add dependency, secret and container scanning, and threat modelling.
• Set up proactive security monitoring, alerting and detection capabilities.
• Review AWS/EKS setup and strengthen IAM, network security and IaC hardening.
• Secure on-site hardware such as ANPR and access-control systems and location networks.
• Run security champion programs and implement pragmatic security frameworks.
• Define AI guardrails for development and AI data handling.
