A leading satellite communications company in the Netherlands is seeking a (Senior) Architect for OSS Supervision to design and model architecture for a cutting-edge 5G NTN system. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree and over 5 years of experience in software design, particularly with 3GPP-compliance. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills, and offers the opportunity to work on innovative satellite connectivity solutions.
IRIS2 is the new European Union secure satellite constellation. This project is the European Union's answer to the pressing challenges of tomorrow to provide secure connectivity services and enhanced communication capacities to the EU and its Member States. In addition, as well as to governmental users, private companies and European citizens while benefiting from ensuring high-speed internet broadband to cope with connectivity dead zones.
SES – together with other consortium partners and core members – has been selected by European Commission to build and to operate the IRIS2 multi-orbit satellite constellation.
As the project enters its next phase, our team is expanding to support the development of future services and products enabled by the IRIS2 system. We are now seeking skilled professionals to help shape the service provisioning landscape and ensure the successful deployment of cutting‑edge satellite connectivity solutions.
We are seeking an OSS Architect to design and model the supervision architecture for a cutting‑edge 5G NTN system based on a MEO satellite constellation. The candidate will serve as the NRM expert, responsible for modeling the CU/DU split architecture of gNBs onboard satellites using 3GPP‑compliant Network Resource Models (NRMs) as defined in the TS 28.x series.
The candidate will co‑drive the design of the Mission Control Center (MCC) component, which remotely orchestrates Mobile Xn configuration, telemetry ingestion, and traffic steering across Optical Inter‑Satellite Links (OISLs). They will work together with the MCC software developer to ensure supervision logic is accurately implemented and visualized.
As a member of an agile project organization, you will be expected to bring a flexible way of working and an adaptive mindset to a dynamic development environment.
