Job summary

POM Group is seeking a decisive Security & Compliance Manager to lead the international S&C strategy across Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, and beyond. You will own risk management, audits, and governance, reporting to the CEO and collaborating with the Management Team.

Experience building scalable security programs in SaaS and cloud environments is essential. You will drive Security by Design and Privacy by Design, raise security awareness, and coordinate with cross-functional teams in IT,

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of relevant work experience in IT Security, Information Security, or Compliance.
• Extensive experience with security in SaaS, cloud, and software platforms.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, ISAE 3402, and GDPR frameworks/legislation.
• Decisive, strong communicator with ability to influence across MT and executives.
• Willingness to travel across Europe to various office locations.

POM Group is growing rapidly and expanding its international presence across four countries. With this growth comes the need to further professionalize our Security & Compliance organization.

We are looking for a decisive and independent Security & Compliance Manager. In this key role, you will have final responsibility for establishing, rolling out, and monitoring our S&C policy across the four countries where POM Group operates.

As a Security & Compliance Manager, you will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the other Security & Compliance Manager and the Management Team (MT). We are looking for someone who is decisive, can communicate clearly and powerfully throughout the organization, and takes full ownership of their responsibilities.

For this position, you can be based in the Netherlands, Belgium, or Denmark.

Your role & impact

As a Security & Compliance Manager, you will transform vision and regulations into an effective and pragmatic strategy across all four countries. You will ensure that cybersecurity and compliance are not just correct on paper, but are truly embedded in our daily operational processes and platforms.

Key responsibilities:

• Developing, implementing, and maintaining the international Security & Compliance strategy for the POM Group across all four countries.
• Making decisions regarding information security and risk management, and clearly justifying these to the MT and the rest of the organization.
• Serving as the point of contact and strategic advisor for MT members.
• Collaborate with the S&C Manager in the Netherlands.
• Work closely with international teams in Development, IT/Infrastructure, Operations, and Data & Privacy.
• Platform security & risk management:
  • Monitor and continuously improve the security of the POM platform.
  • Ensure a strong foundation for Security by Design and Privacy by Design in our software development.
  • Ensure effective risk management, vulnerability management, and follow-up on incident management.
• Compliance & Audits:
  • Comply with and oversee relevant standards, laws, and regulations (such as ISO 27001, ISAE 3402, GDPR).
  • Initiate, coordinate, and guide external and internal audits and risk assessments.
  • Reporting on the status of security and compliance at the management team level.
• Culture & Security Awareness:
  • Actively increasing security awareness throughout the entire POM Group.
  • Fostering a security culture where colleagues understand why certain measures are necessary.

Who are you?

We are looking for an experienced S&C Manager in information security who combines strategic insight with decisiveness and strong communication skills. You are comfortable making tough decisions and are a confident partner for the management team and external auditors.

Your profile:

• Work experience: 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience in IT Security, Information Security, or Compliance.
• Domain knowledge: Extensive experience with security within SaaS, cloud, and software platforms.
• Frameworks: Thorough knowledge of frameworks and legislation such as ISO 27001, ISAE 3402, and GDPR.
• Personality:
  • Decisive & Responsible: You are decisive, take ownership of results, and get things done.
  • Strong Communicator: You can explain complex technical and compliance issues clearly and persuasively to both developers and the management team.
  • Independent & Goal-Oriented: You are able to independently strike the right balance between efficient processes and strict security.
• Willingness to travel: Willingness to travel periodically to POM Group's various office locations across Europe to stay connected with local teams.
• Languages: Excellent command of English (spoken and written) due to the international nature of our organization. Proficiency in Dutch, German, or Danish is a plus.
• Location: Residing in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, or Denmark.
