Job summary

The company in Delft is op zoek naar een Scientific Software Engineer die software ontwerpt en optimaliseert ter ondersteuning van wetenschappelijke processen. Je werkt nauw samen met onderzoekers, engineers en data scientists aan innovatieve oplossingen die kennis direct toepassen.

Je bouwt simulatie- en modelleringshulpmiddelen, automatiseert testen via embedded software of industriële interfaces en visualiseert complexe datasets in dashboards.

Qualifications

• 3–8 jaar ervaring met succesvolle scientific-softwareprojecten bij hightech- en onderzoeksorganisaties.
• Minimaal twee programmeertalen beheersen, zoals C++, Fortran, C, Python of MATLAB.
• Master- of PhD-opleiding in een bèta-/technisch vakgebied.
• Kennis van design- en ontwikkelprincipes zoals OOP, TDD, BDD, SOLID.
• Ervaring met professionele ontwikkelprocessen (Scrum, Agile, SAFe).
• Uitstekende beheersing van de Nederlandse taal.
• Sterke analytische vaardigheden en een gestructureerde, nauwkeurige werkstijl.

Responsibilities

What we expect from you

• Je hebt een trackrecord van 3 tot 8 jaar aan succesvolle scientific-softwareprojecten bij hightech- en onderzoeksorganisaties in de Randstad.
• Aantoonbare ervaring met minimaal twee programmeertalen, zoals C++, Fortran, C, Python of MATLAB.
• Een afgeronde Masteropleiding of promotie (PhD) in een bèta-/technisch vakgebied (bijvoorbeeld natuurkunde, wiskunde, informatica of werktuigbouwkunde).
• Grondige kennis van design- en ontwikkelprincipes zoals OOP, TDD, BDD, SOLID.
• Ervaring met professionele ontwikkelprocessen (Scrum, Agile, SAFe).
• Uitstekende beheersing van de Nederlandse taal.
• Sterke analytische vaardigheden en een gestructureerde, nauwkeurige werkstijl.
