Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field (Biomedical Science or Data Engineering).
• At least 10 years of experience with data systems in a laboratory environment.
• Detail oriented with a quality mindset.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Data Systems team based in Leiden (1 Team Lead + 3 members with potential expansion).
• Oversee the Local equipment team (2 direct reports and external LCM supplier team).
• Ensure data integrity by implementing compliant systems and workflows.
• Achieve global alignment with stakeholders and management.
• Manage GMP-compliant data systems and automate data capture from analytical equipment.

The Scientific Manager Lab (Data) Systems understands how analytical development labs work, how regulated data needs to be managed, and how to lead a small specialist team while influencing global stakeholders across Leiden and US sites.**Purpose:**As Scientific Manager Lab (Data) Systems you will be accountable for the successful implementation, development and maintenance of validated data systems within the Analytical Development (AD) teams of our Cell and Gene Therapy (CGT) division. The AD department is based in Leiden (Netherlands), Malvern (US), and Springhouse (US). You will be managing a strong (data) systems team based in Leiden and work closely together with global partners as part of the Strategic Operations group of AD.
