Job summary

Boels, a major European rental company, seeks a SAP Product Architect Finance to shape the strategic direction of the Finance domain and align business with technology. You will design end-to-end finance solutions across AP, AR, GL, and reporting, define the architectural roadmap, ensure seamless SAP S/4HANA integration, and mentor delivery teams in a hybrid, international environment.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in Solution/ Product architecture within complex environments.
• Hands-on SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP in finance domains (FI/CO/AR/AP/GL).
• Experience designing integrated architectures across platforms and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end Finance solutions across AP, AR, GL, controlling, tax, and reporting.
• Define and evolve the architectural roadmap for the Finance domain.
• Ensure seamless SAP S/4HANA integration and coherent operating model.
• Establish standards, manage technical debt, advise product owners and delivery teams.
• Collaborate with Enterprise/Domain/System Architects for standardized finance processes.

As Product Architect Finance, you shape the strategic direction of the Finance domain by combining product vision and architecture. You drive the evolution of finance capabilities, align business and technology, and enable secure, scalable solutions centered around SAP S/4HANA.

In this strategic role as SAP Product Architect Finance, you contribute to our One Finance transformation program, providing architectural leadership while aligning business objectives, technology, and outsourced delivery.

In this role, you will:

• Design end-to-end Finance solutions across accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, controlling, treasury, tax, reporting, and related finance capabilities, translating business needs into scalable and future-ready architectures.
• Define and evolve the architectural direction and roadmap for the Finance domain, aligning product and technology decisions with business strategy, regulatory requirements, and the One Finance transformation roadmap.
• Ensure seamless integration across SAP S/4HANA, finance applications, integration platforms, and reporting solutions, while connecting systems, business processes, roles, and responsibilities into a coherent Finance operating model.
• Establish and govern architectural standards that deliver secure, compliant, scalable, and maintainable solutions, while actively driving the evolution of the Finance product landscape and managing technical debt.
• Act as the trusted advisor to Product Owners, Business Analysts, and delivery teams, balancing immediate business priorities with long-term product and architectural direction.
• Collaborate with Enterprise, Domain, and System Architects to deliver an integrated Finance landscape that enables standardized, efficient, and data-driven finance processes across the organization.

What do you bring

• 2-5 years of experience as a Solution Architect, Product Architect, or in a similar architecture role within complex enterprise environments;
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and a solid understanding of SAP BTP, preferably within finance domains such as Financial Accounting, Controlling, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or Reporting;
• Experience designing solutions in integrated application landscapes, including platforms such as Azure, MuleSoft, OutSystems, or similar technologies;
• Strong ability to translate financial processes and regulatory requirements into scalable solution architectures while balancing short-term delivery with long-term architectural direction;
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with experience collaborating across multiple business domains, stakeholders, vendors, and outsourced delivery teams;
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
