Job summary

ALDI USA is seeking a store associate in Amsterdam to merchandise, stock product, cashier, and keep the store clean. You will enhance the customer shopping experience by working with the ALDI team and providing exceptional service.

Starting wage is $20.00 per hour with 30+ hours per week. Five-year wage increases are noted in the posting, and full-time benefits are provided according to ALDI policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Ability to operate all store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, etc.
• Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures.
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Models and fulfills all customer service principles and escalates concerns to store management as necessary.
• Informs store management of loss due to outdated or damaged products.
• Properly utilizes the POS system to scan and process purchases and reports errors.
• Adheres to cash policies and procedures.
• Stocks shelves and displays neatly following merchandising planograms.
• Completes curbside pickup orders accurately and timely.
• Maintains zone and merchandising standards at all times.
• Assists management in achieving efficiency and loss goals.
• Maintains a safe working environment by identifying hazards and ensuring equipment is proper.
• Adheres to inventory procedures and cleaning standards.
