Job summary

HitchHike in Den Haag zoekt enthousiaste horecamedewerkers om gasten een memorabele beleving te geven. Je bent het gezicht van de zaak en bedient dranken, lunch en diner met flair, kennis van de kaart en aandacht voor hospitality.

Je werkt flexibel in avonddiensten tot 's avonds laat en weekends; on-call mogelijk, met de optie op vast dienstverband. Je verzorgt reserveringen, betalingsverkeer en zorgt voor een schone, gastvrije sfeer voor elke gast.

Qualifications

• Heeft al horeca-ervaring en kan een show neerzetten.
• Goede communicatie en servicegerichte instelling.
• Beschikbaar voor avonddiensten en weekends.
• Teamspeler met positieve werkhouding.
• Verzorgd uiterlijk en gastvrijheid hoog in het vaandel.

Responsibilities

• Ontvang gasten op een warme, oprechte manier.
• Begeleiden in dranken, diner en alles daartussen.
• Menu’s uit het hoofd kennen.
• Met flair bedienen en betalingen afhandelen.
• Reserveringen beheren en het bezoek soepel laten verlopen.
• Schoon en veilig houden, hygiëne en voedselveiligheid.
• Ruimten en events klaarzetten met aandacht voor presentatie.

Welcome to HitchHike – the newest restaurant concept in the heart of The Hague. Here it’s all about flavor, atmosphere, and an open-road mentality: from Cali bowls to tropical cocktails and laid-back surf vibes. We serve Cali-Baja Cuisine: sunny, colorful, and always with a twist.

To support the growth of our team, we are looking for new colleagues who want to grow together with us.

What will you be doing?

Your mission is to turn every visit into a memorable experience. As a true HitchHiker, you are the face of the restaurant: laid‑back, with hospitality at heart. We aim to give our guests a high‑end experience with our HitchHike mentality. Together with your teammates, you guide guests through our wide selection of wines, lunch, cocktails and dinner dishes.

As a HitchHike restaurant team member, you’ll make sure the morning starts with the perfect barista coffee, the after‑work cocktails flow smoothly, and every lunch and dinner runs seamlessly.

Shifts start flexibly at 3:00, 4:00 or 5:00 PM and never exceed 8 hours per working day, ensuring a healthy work‑life balance.

What do we offer you?

• A salary in salary group III of the Horeca Collective Labor Agreement. We pay 7,5% above the catering collective labor agreement!
• As an on‑call employee, you’ll also enjoy a great benefit: your holiday pay is included in your monthly salary!
• A travel allowance of a maximum of €23 per day based on the distance between home and work;
• An ALL‑Heartist card from Accor. This gives you discounts on hotel stays and car rental, among other things;
