CuspAI is seeking Research Engineers to train and evaluate foundation models over crystal structures, properties, text and images. You will own models end-to-end from data and experiment design to scale training and integration, in a small team.

You will collaborate with chemists and materials scientists to integrate computational and experimental workflows, and contribute to sustainability-focused AI development in a frontier lab environment.

Qualificações

• Strong software engineering skills for building high-performance systems at scale.
• Hands-on experience training or evaluating large models in distributed settings.
• Depth in at least one of: vision, representation learning, LLM pre-training/post-training, or RL.

Responsabilidades

• Design and run experiments for scaling studies and ablations.
• Lead parallel training of multi-modal foundation models at scale across GPUs.
• Apply software engineering best practices to ensure scalable, reliable systems.
• Own data curation and evaluation design for your models.
