Job summary

Andrews Recruitment Group is seeking experienced Mechanical Engineering AI Experts to support a large-scale project training and evaluating next-generation AI systems.

This remote contractor role values your engineering expertise over AI background, with tasks including reviewing AI-generated engineering answers, solving mechanical problems, forming questions and grading criteria, and reviewing CAD models and documentation.

Qualifications

• A degree, MSc, PhD or recognised technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• Substantial hands-on mechanical engineering experience.
• Typically 4–5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with CAD/FEA, calculations, testing, and technical documentation.
• Experience with SolidWorks, NX, Creo, CATIA, ANSYS, Abaqus or Nastran may be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated engineering answers for technical accuracy.
• Solve mechanical engineering problems.
• Create technical questions, assessments and grading criteria.
• Review CAD models, drawings and technical documentation.
• Produce clear explanations of engineering reasoning.
• Support AI training with realistic engineering scenarios.
