Job summary

CoolGames in Amsterdam is seeking a Casual Game Developer to contribute to HTML5 casual game lifecycle from inception to live-ops. You will collaborate with game designers, artists, QA, and fellow developers to deliver robust features.

You will work in a multidisciplinary team, manage time to meet deadlines, optimise, debug, review requirements, and ensure platform compatibility for games played by millions. Remote options available for non-NL applicants.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience programming professionally.
• Solid knowledge of development best practices.
• Strong collaborative mindset.
• Knows how to strike a balance between speed and quality.
• Estimations are consistently on point.
• Proactively communicates and mitigates technical risk.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development practices.
• Experience with version control tools like git.
• Experience with web game tech (e.g. PIXI/Phaser/Three.js).
• Experience with HTML5 games, TypeScript and JavaScript is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality products as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Develop new titles and evolve existing games; contribute to maintenance and internal tools.
• Manage time and productivity to deliver robust code on deadlines.
• Optimise, debug, fix bugs, perform code reviews, and review requirements.
