Job summary

Alignerr is seeking software engineers for a remote role that can influence how AI systems write and understand code. You will build, evaluate, and refine AI-generated software, providing expert feedback to improve reliability and safety.

This is a freelance, hourly contract with flexible scheduling and asynchronous collaboration. You’ll work across Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, Go, and TypeScript, reviewing outputs, debugging issues, and helping design robust prompts and tests for AI coding

Qualifications

• Proficient in one or more programming languages (Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, Go, TypeScript, or similar).
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Able to read, write, and reason about code with clarity and precision.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Clear written communicator and self-motivated for async work.

Responsibilities

• Write, debug, and optimize code across languages and problem domains.
• Review and evaluate AI-generated code for correctness and efficiency.
• Identify bugs, security issues, and performance bottlenecks in AI outputs.
• Provide structured, detailed feedback explaining code decisions.
• Design coding prompts and edge cases to stress-test AI capabilities.
• Compare and rank AI-generated solutions by engineering quality.
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule.
