Job summary

IHE Delft Institute for Water Education seeks an outstanding Rector to lead the Institute through its next phase. The Rector will provide strategic leadership, represent the Institute internationally and ensure academic excellence and global impact, guiding diversification of funding and development in a changing landscape.

Qualifications

• An internationally recognised academic profile with a PhD.
• Senior leadership experience in higher education, research, or international organisations.
• Proven ability to build partnerships and represent the organisation globally.
• Ability to balance academic credibility with strategic leadership and implementation.
• Commitment to diversifying funding and strengthening international impact.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for IHE Delft and represent the Institute internationally.
• Guide the Institute through growth, funding diversification and governance engagement.
• Work with Rectorate, Governing Board, staff, students and partners to deliver impact.
