Job summary

Arcadis in Rotterdam, Netherlands, is looking for an experienced project management professional to lead real estate initiatives and provide advisory support across design, procurement and construction. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver sustainable, cost‑effective solutions.

The role requires strong Dutch and English skills, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to manage schedules, budgets and risks while guiding the development process from concept to completion.

Qualifications

• HBO+ or WO in civil engineering or related field.
• 4+ years’ experience in project management/consulting for real‑estate projects.
• Excellent proficiency in Dutch and English.
• Entrepreneurial attitude: recognise opportunities and initiate client‑focused solutions.
• Decisive and proactive: anticipate, act and ensure tasks are completed.
• Resilient, persuasive and analytical with strong presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead simple projects independently and support senior colleagues on more complex assignments.
• Set up projects and ensure they run smoothly from design to execution within agreed parameters.
• Create clear project definitions and frameworks, paying attention to GROTIK aspects.
• Monitor progress and report on it through decision‑making and phase documents.
• Advise on construction organisation and procurement strategy; conduct market consultations and select architects, advisers and contractors.
• Guide the design process to ensure ideas remain practically viable.
• Organise and lead meetings at operational, tactical and strategic levels, ensuring decisions are documented.
• Direct the realization phase focusing on schedule, quality and budget.
• Place sustainability at the core of your approach and motivate others to create sustainable impact.
