Job summary

Rail Force One is seeking a Rail Coordinator to manage train movements, communicate with drivers, terminals, and customers, and ensure smooth operations across shifts in Rotterdam. You will work in a close-knit team within 24/7 operations, handling incidents, data entry, and updates to stakeholders.

The role requires Dutch and English proficiency, flexibility to work mornings, evenings, nights and weekends, and an ability to coordinate with German-speaking colleagues when needed.

Qualifications

• MBO level with practical thinking and problem-solving
• Excellent Dutch and English; German basics helpful
• Strong communication and decision-making abilities
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and weekends

Responsibilities

• Process notifications for ports, trains, and terminals
• Enter data accurately into systems
• Keep customers and suppliers updated on train runs
• Coordinate delays and rescheduling as needed
• Communicate via phone, email, and Teams
• Ensure clear handovers for continuity
• Monitor pool car park and prepare driver instructions
• Assist with incident handling and safety matters
