Overview

PULL FORWARD, FULL FORCE

Purpose of the position Are you levelheaded and can you keep an good overview? Do you want a responsible job where you won't getbored for a moment? Then step into the world of rail freight.

We are happy to train you to become an Rail Coördinator at Rail Force One.

As a Rail Coordinator, you are the one who is in control and keeps our trains moving. You will be in close contact with train drivers, traffic control posts, customers and terminals. Even our German colleagues will be informed by you in the event of cross-border traffic. Your communication ensures that all parties are continuously informed of the latest developments.

As the first point of contact, you will play a crucial role in solving questions and challenges. You don\'t do this alone, but as part of a close-knit team. The Operations department works 24/7 in shifts to keep everything running smoothly. We work two early, two late and two night shifts, followed by four days off.

What are you going to do?
  • Process notifications for ports, trains, and terminals;
  • Carefully enter all data into various systems;
  • Keeping customers and suppliers up-to-date on the train run;
  • Flexible switching in the event of delays and rescheduling if necessary;
  • Smooth communication via phone, email and Teams;
  • Establish clear handovers to ensure continuity;
  • Keep an eye on our pool car park;
  • Prepare instructions for train drivers;
  • Assist in the handling of incidents;
  • Playing an important role in safety-related issues.
What do you need to bring?
  • MBO working and thinking level;
  • 1 to 5 years of relevant work experience in the rail and/or transport sector;
  • A flexible attitude: you work in the morning, late, night, and weekends;
  • A strong communicative attitude and daring to make decisions;
  • Have excellent knowledge of the Dutch and English language and sufficient knowledge of the German language;
  • Being able to work independently as well as in a team.
