Job summary

Tripod Mobility BV seeks an experienced R&D Team Leader in the Netherlands to guide a multidisciplinary team while also performing engineering tasks. You will allocate 12–16 hours weekly to management and dedicate the rest to design and technical projects.

You will design vehicle adaptations in SolidWorks, coordinate with production, planning and quality to ensure projects run smoothly, innovatively, and on schedule. You will foster innovation and maintain a focus on quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering (HBO level).
• Experience leading R&D teams in technical development, preferably vehicle bodywork or automotive.
• Ability to guide and motivate employees toward innovative, high-quality outcomes.
• Knowledge of Lean, World Class Manufacturing, First Time Right, and Poka Yoke.
• Experience with SolidWorks; SolidWorks Composer a plus; familiarity with PDM/3DEXPERIENCE.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach R&D employees, driving innovation and efficiency while prioritising quality.
• Design vehicle adaptations in SolidWorks, creating 3D models and 2D production drawings.
• Coordinate with production, planning and quality to safeguard schedules and progress.
• Apply Lean principles and manufacturing best practices across all processes.
• Balance management with hands-on engineering and maintain supplier coordination.
