Job summary

FrieslandCampina in Wageningen, NL, is offering an internship in Global Process Technology to improve evaporation process models and digital tools. You will translate and modernize tools, develop new functionalities in data interpretation, and learn within a collaborative R&D setting at the Wageningen Innovation Centre.

You will be supervised by the Evaporation, Drying, Powder Handling, and Energy cluster, contributing to pilot-to-production scale-up and CAPEX projects while gaining hands-on

Qualifications

• Master’s student in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field.
• Affinity with process modeling, model validation, and equation-driven models.
• Programming skills (notably Python).
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and numerical accuracy.
• Ability to translate complex technical information into robust tools.
• Proactive, independent, and eager to learn in an R&D environment.
• Good communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Translate and modernize existing calculation tools, programming and developing digital functionalities on data interpretation.
• Help improve and future-proof evaporation process models and digital tools.
• Support scale-up from pilot to full production and assist CAPEX projects.
• Work supervised by the Evaporation, Drying, Powder Handling, and Energy cluster; learn from team members.
