Job summary

IQIP in Sliedrecht is seeking a Specialist Industrial Design Engineer to turn ideas into proven technology, driving concepts through TRL 1–3 toward deployment. You’ll blend hands-on engineering with structured project management and clear communication across production, engineering and project teams.

You will work across product development, prototyping, CAD modelling, sensor technologies, hydraulics, materials science, IoT, digital twins and AI/ML, applying iterative methods and stage-gate

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related technical field
Early-stage research and technology development (TRL 1–3) experience
Experimental design and prototype testing experience

Responsibilities

Research & Development: Define research questions, design experiments, validate principles
Project Management: Plan and manage R&D projects with iterative phases and stage-gate milestones
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Present findings clearly to engineers and business stakeholders, document results, and support handovers to development
