Job summary

Keelings is seeking a Quality Controller to manage all aspects of quality within the business, ensuring products meet customer specs and quality standards. The role involves inbound checks, quality monitoring, and communicating issues to commercial teams.

It requires knowledge of quality systems, regulatory standards, and effective training of third-party facilities. Based onsite in the Netherlands, the successful candidate will support continuous improvement and ensure compliance with food

Qualifications

• Knowledge of product regulations and quality control systems.
• Ability to communicate quality standards clearly to teams.
• Experience with Office 365 and quality documentation tools.
• Driving licence B and flexibility to work onsite in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products are packed to customer specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct inbound checks and documentation on intake of product.
• Maintain quality monitoring in production and record data in KBS.
• Communicate quality issues to commercial, logistics, and production teams.
• Assist with temperature checks, calibrations, and training of packing facilities.

Quality Controller

Purpose of the Role:

To manage all aspects of quality within the Business competently and cost effectively. Ensuring all products is packed to customer specifications and the correct quality standards are applied.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all products are packed and handled to meet customer specifications quality check and audit products.
• Accurately assessing and completing Inbound checks / documentation on intake of product.
• Maintain quality monitoring in production area, ensuring that information is recorded in KBS accurately.
• Communicate issues on quality – take out in excess of expectation, unexpected issues, replacement stock to commercial team.
• Monitoring of Class 2 and waste pullouts across packhouse, reallocation of stock to customer specs
• All pallets to be positive released from Production and Warehouse.
• To assist with temperature checks and calibration.
• To support training and coaching third party packing facilities with quality standards to meet customer specifications.
• Write, Study and send Quality Control of reports to growers
• Follow-up evolution of defect in weekly base for each grower and ensure implementation of corrective actions
• Daily check of stock and communicate fruit condition to Sales and Logistics Department
• All Pallets to be positive released from prior to despatch
• Respect the food safety policy and procedures defined by management and Technical Department
• Listening to customers, and ensuring that all their requirements are met
• Report any non-compliance with customers or others to technical department
