Quality Assurance Engineer – Raumfahrt / Quality Assurance / EN9100, ECSS, NASA, MIL
Summary: The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for the development, implementation and verification of the Quality Assurance requirements. Acting as the main interface to Process Engineering and Operations, the engineer ensures proper execution of the BG Quality Programme in accordance with Product Assurance Requirements at the manufacturing site.

Responsibilities
- Develop the Quality Assurance Requirements and Culture, ensuring robust quality processes and cost excellence in program execution through collaboration with engineering, operations and supply chain.
- Act as main interface for Process Engineering and Operations for all quality and safety topics.
- Establish Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) features in collaboration with Process Engineering and Operations.
- Lead non‑conformance and failure investigations whenever product or process requirements are violated.
- Supervise and direct Internal Manufacturing Assembly Integration and Test (MAIT) Process Development and Qualification for all relevant quality aspects.
- Define and monitor Measuring and Test Equipment (M&TE), Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and Process Capability.
- Perform quality inspections as per Product Manufacturing Inspection Plan.
- Perform Key Inspection Point (KIP) and Mandatory Inspection Point (MIP) documentation (production records) to verify critical features and requirements.
- Execute Quality Assurance Program in accordance with project milestones.
- Ensure successful execution of the customer, regulatory and internal requirements for operations execution.
- Convert customer Critical-to-Quality requirements into internal specifications and requirements.
- Lead and coordinate internal process for non‑conformance management.
- Lead operations critical root cause analysis (RCA) and investigation activities.
- Moderate Process FMEA.
- Develop process CTQ and control plans in collaboration with Process Engineering and Operations.
- Establish process quality documentation.
- Support process qualification.
- Contribute to quality matters in proposals as part of the Request For Information / Request For Quotation.
- Contribute as needed to customer and internal audit as a Quality Assurance representative.
- Contribute to the Quality Organization Development (training/coaching).
- Contribute to customer satisfaction for quality performance.
- Contribute to operations quality performance.
- Provide input to product quality data-package and final product qualification data-package for space application.
- Conduct internal root cause analysis and prepare non‑conformance reports.
Qualifications
- Relevant experience in quality and continuous improvement.
- B.Sc./M.Sc. degree in engineering or a similar discipline.
- Knowledge of standards such as EN9100, ECSS, NASA and MIL.
- Ability to quickly understand and analyse technical products/systems and their functions.
- High level of theoretical skills with the aptitude to coach hands‑on practical elements on the floor.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- MS Office experience required.
- Experience in the application of quality preventive methodology (e.g., 5‑Why, Ishikawa Fishbone).
- Additional language skills (German, French, Swedish) are a strong asset.
- Experience in other space companies is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a team.

- Strong communication skills with the confidence to ask tough questions.
- Availability to travel nationally and internationally as required (5%‑10%).
