Job summary

ITproposal is seeking a Python & Generative AI Developer to join a team delivering AI-driven search and information retrieval solutions in Amsterdam. The role requires 2–5 years of Python or AI engineering experience and hands-on work with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, NLP, and cloud platforms.

The ideal candidate will contribute to designing AI-enabled applications, collaborate with stakeholders, and follow Agile practices.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of hands-on Python or AI engineering experience.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Practical experience with AI, ML, NLP, or search-related applications.
• Experience with LLMs, Generative AI, or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Knowledge of search technologies and information retrieval concepts.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform: Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Familiarity with data engineering and ML frameworks.
• Understanding of software development best practices, version control, and Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Dutch language proficiency at B1 level or higher, or native Dutch.
• Willingness and availability to work onsite in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software solutions using Python.
• Design and implement AI, ML, NLP, and search-related applications.
• Build and integrate solutions using LLMs, Generative AI, and RAG.
• Apply search and information retrieval concepts to develop intelligent solutions.
• Work with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Follow software engineering best practices, including version control, testing, and Agile methodologies.
• Analyse technical challenges and develop effective, scalable solutions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of AI and software development practices.
