Job summary

European Space Agency (ESA) seeks a Galileo PRS and System Security Engineer to lead a team of engineers, coordinate studies, and oversee security-related activities across the PRS programme. The role focuses on defining roadmaps, ensuring alignment with programme objectives, and interfacing with industry and EU partners.

The candidate should have a master’s degree in telecommunications engineering or equivalent with several years of relevant experience, including space navigation systems

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in telecommunications engineering or related discipline is required.
• Alternatively, candidates with a bachelor’s degree, complemented by an additional four years of relevant professional experience, may be considered.
• Experience in space-based navigation systems and knowledge of crypto security are required.
• Knowledge of security evaluation methodologies and related standards is essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate PRS development roadmap and TRL maturation for PRS, security and cryptography.
• Coordinate studies and development activities in PRS, security and cryptographic capabilities.
• Coordinate procurement of studies and technology developments in PRS and security.
• Interface PRS tech development with Galileo programme implementation and related work plans.
