Job summary

Ahold Delhaize is seeking a Manager Public Affairs in Zaandam to shape policy positions and engage with government bodies and industry associations. You will monitor regulatory developments, analyze policy changes, develop PA strategies, and present positions to senior leadership, while building strong stakeholder relationships across the Netherlands.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in Public Affairs in the Dutch Parliament or government.
• Strong network within politics, government and key stakeholder organisations.
• Experience in lobbying and policy influencing at national and EU levels.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Dutch.
• Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate policy into actions.

Responsibilities

• Advise Ahold Delhaize on public affairs related to government, regulators and stakeholders.
• Support and execute the Public Affairs strategy.
• Identify developments and communicate Ahold Delhaize positions and strategies.
• Monitor political and societal developments affecting strategy and reputation.
• Represent Ahold Delhaize in policy discussions in the Netherlands.
• Provide strategic policy advice to senior leadership and engage stakeholders.
