Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering or a technical field with engineering background.
• PM certification such as PMP / PRINCE2 / IPMA C or equivalent.
• Several years of proven PM/Program management experience on complex infrastructure projects.
• Experience in HV electrical or offshore industries is preferred.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management across functions and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead interdisciplinary project team and coordinate internal and external interfaces with grid connection teams and technical specialists.
• Ensure permits, regulations, specifications, governance and contract content are followed through the project lifecycle.
• Manage scope, resources, planning, costs, risks, quality, communication, HSE, documentation and invoicing.
• Provide project management documentation and actively manage risks and opportunities.
• Oversee full lifecycle from initiation to commissioning and handover, ensuring safety, schedule and budget adherence.
• Mentor junior project managers and continuously improve governance.

About the role?

As a Projectmanager SCADA, you will lead the delivery of critical SCADA and Operational Technology (OT) projects that support the reliable and secure operation of TenneT's electricity transmission network. Working across Operations, Engineering, Asset Management, Cybersecurity and external partners, you will manage the full project lifecycle of system upgrades, lifecycle replacements, infrastructure expansions and digitalization initiatives for the offshore assets. Combining strong project management capabilities with a solid understanding of SCADA and OT environments, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget while contributing to the resilience, security and future readiness of TenneT's grid and supporting the energy transition.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the interdisciplinary project team while managing interfaces to internal and external stakeholders, in particular the close cooperation with the execution grid connection teams and the involvement of the technical specialists.
• Ensure compliance with permits, regulations, specifications, project governance and contract content to guarantee a successful project life-cycle.
• Manage all project related topics such as scope, resources, planning, costs, risks, quality, communication, HSE, documentation and invoicing.
• Provide all necessary project management documentation and actively manage risks and opportunities.
• Manage the full project lifecycle from initiation, planning, execution, testing (FAT, SAT, ...) and commissioning through handover, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and in accordance with European and TenneT standards.
• Enhance project governance as part of continuous improvement and mentor junior project managers.

Waar kom je terecht

Offshore is responsible for the development, construction, and management of the offshore electricity grid. With the North Sea as the green engine of the energy transition, Offshore plays a clear and vital role within TenneT’s organisational structure. The Offshore division manages the entire lifecycle of all TenneT offshore installations, from development and realisation to maintenance and handover to the Operate division. A crucial task is the construction of 2 GW offshore ‘sockets’, which collect and transport generated wind energy to the mainland.

Jouw profiel & achtergrond

As a Projectmanager SCADA:

• You hold an academic degree (Bachelor/Master) in Engineering / Industrial Engineering or a technical field of study with engineering / science background.
• You hold a valid project management certification, such as PMP / PRINCE2 / IPMA C or relevant certificates.
• You have several years of proven professional work experience as a project manager or program manager of complex infrastructure projects and ideally have a track record in the HV electrical industry or offshore industry.
• You show very good communication and stakeholder management skills and are able to cope with conflicting interests between Operations, Asset Management, Engineering, IT and external contractors.
• You feel comfortable to work in VUCA environments.
• You are experienced in one or more technical areas such as high voltage secondary systems, GIS switchgear and Siprotec protection devices, high voltage SCADA, Auxiliary SCADA, Process Control Systems such as Honeywell Experion, Hitachi and/or Siemens SCADA systems.
• You have a strong understanding of various mechanical and process systems (Transformers, Switchgear, HVA/C, Foam and Gas Fire Fighting, PAGA, CCTV, Fresh water, Hazardous Drain, LV, DG, UPS).
• You have experience with network architectures as Purdue model, IT and OT infrastructure, Cybersecurity best practices in OT environments according to standards (IEC 62443 / ISO 27001).
• As our projects and teams are managed internationally, you should be fluent in English and preferably have good proficiency in Dutch.
• You show willingness to travel in Europe a few times per year when necessary. Your suitability for offshore work, having GWO certificate, is a plus.
