Job summary

Frencken Mechatronics in Eindhoven seeks a Program/Project Procurement Lead to drive sourcing deliverables across the life cycle of customer products. You’ll coordinate with category and operational buyers, manage supplier selection, and guide cost roadmaps in a dynamic, international setting.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, lead teams, and ensure timely procurement delivery for NPI projects, while leveraging MS Project and ERP/MRP tools to optimize plans and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in supply chain management, business, engineering or similar.
• 3–5 years of procurement project management experience within a procurement organization.
• Proficiency in MS Office; good command of MS Project and ERP/MRP tools.
• PM certification (e.g., IPMA, Prince2) is preferred.
• Fluent English; Dutch is a plus; willingness to travel limited.

Responsibilities

• Upstream engagement to understand business and customer procurement needs.
• Develop PAPs for customer products and AMP for projects.
• Make or buy decisions and supplier selection in collaboration with buyers.
• Represent procurement in program teams and track material cost roadmaps.
• Ensure timely NPI material delivery and manage sourcing activities.

Impact in the role:

The Program/Project Procurement Lead (PPL) is a key procurement project manager responsible for managing sourcing deliverables for specific projects or customer products throughout their entire life cycle. The PPL utilizes category and operational buyer resources to execute procurement strategies effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Upstream Engagement: Ensure a clear understanding of business and customer procurement needs.
• Product Acquisition Plan (PAP): Develop PAPs for customer products, aligning procurement deliverables with business requirements.
• Acquisition Management Plan (AMP): Create AMPs for projects to monitor sourcing deliverables during the product creation process.
• Make or Buy Decisions: Critically assess and challenge make-or-buy decisions.
• Representation: Actively represent procurement in program and project teams, participating in relevant meetings.
• Material Cost Roadmaps: Own and manage material cost roadmaps for assigned customer products or projects.
• NPI Material Delivery: Ensure timely delivery of materials for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.
• Project Management within Procurement: Coordinate sourcing activities, including supplier selection, purchase requests, and contracting, in collaboration with category and operational buyers to meet project or program needs.

We are looking for an experienced (3-5 years) project manager within procurement organization.

What do we expect:

• Global understanding of precision machining, mechatronic assemblies, raw materials, surface treatment, or other relevant supply markets.
• Proficiency in MRP systems and project planning tools like MS Project.
• Extensive knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering or similar.
• Project management certification (e.g., IPMA, Prince 2) is preferred.
• Speaking English and preferably Dutch
• Travel: Willingness to travel as needed (limited).
