Job summary

SBM Offshore N.V. is seeking a Project Contract Manager to provide contract management support for major projects across Supply Chain, Client focus and Subcontracting.

You will ensure contract compliance and commercially optimize contracts, mitigate risk, and maximize opportunities. The role requires 15+ years of experience in contract management including Claims, EPCI, subcontract management, and experience in sales and lease contracts.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in contract management covering Claims, EPCI, and subcontracting.
• Broad experience in sales and lease contracts, in executing contract negotiation.
• Experience of project execution interface.

Responsibilities

• Manage and expedite contract deliverables and requirements.
• Support and coordinate the development of contracting strategies, including Sub-contracts & Supply Chain.
• Monitor performance and compliance with contractual requirements and signatory powers, expedite disciplines where necessary, and highlight potential areas of concern.
• Ensure commercial and contractual awareness across the Project Team throughout the life of the project.
• Achieve and maintain total auditability of all commercial and contractual dealings, including clear record keeping and regular commercial reporting.
• Participate in and provide input to Risk and Opportunities management.
• Provide Contract Feedback during the life of the project.
• Ensure Guarantee period management.

Purpose

• The Project Contract Manager provides Contract Management support for major projects or unit execution across Supply Chain, Client focus and Subcontracting to ensure a contractually compliant and a commercially optimised contract. You ensure the mitigation of risk and maximisation of opportunity.

Education

• Degree or MBA in one of the following disciplines (Business Management, Law, Construction Law, Engineering or Quantity Surveying).

Experience

• 15+ years of experience covering all aspects contract management including Claims, EPCI, subcontract management.
• Broad experience in sales and lease contracts, in executing contract negotiation.
• Experience of project execution interface.
