Job summary

Van Gelder Groente & Fruit zoekt een productiearbeider voor hun moderne productiehal in Ridderkerk. Je werkt aan verse groenten en fruit, snijdt, verpakt en controleert gewichten en etikettering.

Je werkt in een gemotiveerd team van collega’s en draagt bij aan continue kwaliteitszorg en hygiëne. De werktijden zijn van ’s ochtends, met werkdagen van maandag tot en met zaterdag en twee vrije dagen per week, waardoor avonden vrij blijven.

Qualifications

• Beschikbaarheid voor minimaal 38 uur per week en flexibele werktijden.
• Ervaring als productiearbeider, operator of soortgelijke functie is gewenst.
• Nauwkeurig werken en schoon en georganiseerd houden van de werkplek.
• Goede beheersing van Nederlands of Engels.
• Woonachtig binnen 30 kilometer van Ridderkerk.

Responsibilities

• Verwerken van verse groenten en fruit, schillen en verwijderen van zaden.
• Met de hand of machine groenten en fruit snijden.
• Producten zorgvuldig verpakken en wegen controleren.
• Gereed-om-te-eten salades en andere gerechten afmaken op de assemblagelijn.
• Containers handmatig vullen volgens instructies.
• Gewichten, labels en houdbaarheidsdata controleren.
• Dagelijkse reiniging en onderhoud van machines en gereedschappen.

Over de functie

As a Production Worker, you ensure that fresh fruits and vegetables are processed and packaged perfectly. You’ll work with modern machines and spend your days peeling, cutting, and checking the quality of the products. Your tasks vary: from manually filling containers to finishing salads on the assembly line. You make sure everything is properly packaged, at the correct weight, and labeled with the right stickers. You’ll also keep your workspace clean and assist with the daily maintenance of machines and tools. You work in a modern production hall with a motivated team. Your working days are Monday through Saturday, with two days off per week and two Saturdays per month on the schedule. You’ll work day shifts, starting between 6:00 and 8:00 AM and finishing between 4:00 and 5:00 PM.

• Processing raw fruits and vegetables, such as peeling and removing seeds
• Cutting fruits and vegetables by hand and/or machine
• Carefully packing and repacking products
• Finishing ready-to-eat salads and other dishes on the assembly line
• Manually filling containers according to instructions
• Checking weights, labels, and expiration dates
• Daily cleaning and maintenance of machines and tools

Your schedule is flexible: Monday through Saturday, 5 days a week, with start times between 6:00 and 8:00 AM and finishing between 4:00 and 5:00 PM.
