Job summary

SThree partners with a leading biotechnology manufacturing site in Limburg to recruit a Manufacturing Team Lead. You will guide a team of about 15 associates in a regulated production environment, ensuring safe, compliant operations and high-quality outputs.

The role involves batch support, investigations and continuous improvement, with collaboration across Quality and Manufacturing and a planned shift model to enhance work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in biotechnology/pharma or regulated manufacturing.
• Good understanding of GMP requirements and quality systems.
• Strong communication, planning and people management skills.
• Experience with deviations, investigations, CAPAs or manufacturing documentation is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related field, or equivalent experience.

Job description

Join a leading biotechnology manufacturing site and help deliver innovative Cell and Gene therapies to patients worldwide. This role combines people leadership, operational excellence, and GMP manufacturing in a fast-paced production environment.

What you'll do

• Lead, coach and develop a team of +/- 15 manufacturing associates in a regulated production environment.
• Ensure manufacturing operations are executed safely, efficiently and in compliance with GMP standards.
• Support batch execution, documentation completion, investigations and quality-related activities.
• Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing and other cross-functional teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork and operational excellence.
• Drive process improvements to enhance productivity, quality and efficiency.

What we’re looking for

• Experience leading teams within biotechnology, pharmaceutical or other regulated manufacturing environments.
• Good understanding of GMP requirements and quality systems.
• Strong communication, planning and people management skills.
• Experience with deviations, investigations, CAPAs or manufacturing documentation is an advantage.
• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Flexibility to work within a rotating shift environment.

Shift Pattern

The site currently operates in a 6-shift rotation, which includes a 31.3% shift allowance and an average working week of approximately 37.3 hours.

Current shifts:

• 00:00 - 08:00
• 06:00 - 14:00
• 12:00 - 20:00
• 18:00 - 02:00

A transition to a new 5-shift model is planned. Depending on your start date, you may initially work within the current 6-shift system before moving to the new schedule.

• Morning: 07:00 - 15:30
• Evening: 15:00 - 23:30
• Night: 23:00 - 07:30

The new shift model is expected to provide improved work-life balance, including regular extended periods off and opportunities for 4-day weekends.
