Job summary

BauWatch seeks a Product Owner for the Worker App and CheckIn platform to connect ground workers with site managers, ensuring seamless access control and data-driven decisions. You will own the product vision, gather requirements on-site, and translate them into a scalable digital roadmap across multiple countries.

You’ll drive features that enhance commercial value, collaborate with hardware teams, and push AI-driven, agile practices to accelerate delivery in a fast-growing European security

Qualifications

• Intense customer focus and hypothesis-driven approach, validated on-site with end-customers.
• Commercial acumen with ability to develop and present business cases for new features/products.
• Experience scaling products in high-growth environments, maintaining speed.
• 4+ years as Product Manager/Owner in SaaS, mobile apps, or digital platforms.
• Technical skill to translate business requirements into tech requirements for complex ecosystems.

• Drive commercial success by aligning features with EBITDA impact and value-added services.
• Bridge physical hardware with digital experiences by coordinating with IoT and hardware teams.
• Manage the full product lifecycle from discovery through development to launch and optimization across multiple countries.
• Shadow workers and site managers on-site to translate real-world challenges into the digital roadmap.
• Introduce AI tools and agile processes to improve delivery velocity and shipping cycles.

As the Product Owner for BauWatch CheckIn and the Worker App, you own the "Worker" side of our unified platform. You are responsible for the digital experience that connects workers on the ground to corporate site managers, ensuring that access control is seamless, compliant, and data-driven. You aren't just building an app; you are transforming how the construction industry manages its workforce and site safety through digital-first thinking that respects hardware reality.

This isn't a maintenance role. We're scaling aggressively and need someone who can handle the full scope from gathering and translating business requirements, to supporting and owning the commercial success of the product lines.

What You’ll Do

• Own the Worker Platform Strategy: Define the roadmap for the Worker App and CheckIn solutions, transitioning from fragmented tools MyBW, BauWatch CheckIn and "Worker" to a unified platform (e.g. integrating CheckIn reporting into MyBW)
• Drive Commercial Success: Manage the product features to contribute directly to EBITDA through value-added services, ensuring our digital offerings make our physical access hardware ten times more valuable.
• Bridge Physical and Digital : Partner closely with the Head of Physical Products & IoT to ensure the Worker App integrates seamlessly with hardware like turnstiles and mobile nodes for a cohesive customer experience.
• Master the Product Lifecycle: Handle the full scope from gathering business requirements through discovery and development to launch and optimization across 11 countries.
• Champion the User: Spend time on-site shadowing and interviewing workers and site managers to understand their challenges and translate them into a concrete digital roadmap.
• Push Modern Practices: Implement AI tools and agile processes to improve delivery velocity and shipping cycles.

Job Requirements

What we are looking for

• Intense customer focus & hypothesis driven approach: Your product discovery always starts with customer problems and validating hypothesis directly on-site with end-customers.
• Commercial Acumen: You understand product P&Ls and know that a feature is only "good" if it solves a problem that customers are willing to pay for. You are used to developing, validating and presenting business cases for new feature / product development.
• High-Growth Experience: You have scaled products in environments growing at 30%+ YoY and know how to build structure without killing speed.
• 4+ years as a Product Manager/Owner: Proven track record in SaaS, mobile apps, or digital platforms.
• Technical Integration Skills: Experience capturing and translating business requirements into technical requirements for complex digital-physical ecosystems.

Your Personal Traits

• Outstanding Communicator: Strong ability to translate "tech-speak" into "business-value" for stakeholders ranging from directors to workers on site. Fluent in English (C1/C2-level).
• Bias for action over perfect plans. Still attention for detail.
• Making the team better , not just getting your own work done
• Comfort with ambiguity and changing fast when needed.
• Ready to go deep - this is a hands-on, high-ownership role (fulltime)
