Job summary

Aalberts advanced mechatronics, based in Nijmegen, seeks a Product Engineer to drive the ramp-up of high-tech production on the floor and ensure flawless processes in the cleanroom. You will act as the technical right hand to production, balancing maximum customer value with safeguarding our technological lead.

You will translate drawings into work packages, set up ERP, and guide first builds while coordinating with production, planning, and quality teams to maintain smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Completed technical degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Proactive, quality-conscious and hands-on mindset in a dynamic environment.
• Understand how products are actually made, optimized and transferred to the shop floor.
• Strong English communication; Dutch is a plus.
• Resident in the Nijmegen region and motivated to contribute to the team.

Responsibilities

• Production Support: act as focal point for complex issues and ensure continuous production flow.
• Safeguarding Quality: perform PFMEA, define CTQs, and participate in RCA sessions to resolve issues.
• New Product Introduction (NPI): translate customer drawings into work packages, set up ERP, and guide first builds in the cleanroom.
• Stakeholder Management: coordinate daily with production, planning, quality, and procurement.

As a Product Engineer at Lamers (Aalberts advanced mechatronics), based in Nijmegen, you are the technical right hand of production and the indispensable link in the cleanroom process. You continuously look for the ideal balance between maximum customer value and safeguarding our technological lead. The world of high-tech never stands still. Giants such as ASML and Zeiss raise the bar for precision and speed every single day, requiring a production process that runs flawlessly. In Nijmegen, you directly contribute to this technological race by building complex modules and cabinets that are essential for the chip machines of the future.

In this role, you are not a theoretical designer behind a screen, but a hands-on professional who drives the ramp-up of high-tech production on the floor and takes operational quality to a higher level.

What you will specifically do:

• Production Support: Acting as the focal point for complex issues (ENG tickets) that hinder progress and ensuring a continuous production flow.
• Safeguarding Quality: Performing risk analyses (PFMEA), defining CTQs, and participating in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) sessions to structurally solve issues.
• New Product Introduction (NPI): Translating customer drawings into work packages, setting up the ERP system, and guiding the first builds in the cleanroom.
• Stakeholder Management: Coordinating daily with production, planning, quality, and procurement to align everyone toward the same goals.

Your profile

• Dompleted technical degree, for example in Industrial Engineering & Management, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics.
• A proactive, quality-conscious, and hands-on mindset; you feel at home in a dynamic environment that isn't always tightly structured.
• Practical insight: you understand how products are actually made, optimized, and transferred to the shop floor.
• Strong communication skills in English (priority 1); proficiency in Dutch is an advantage.
• Resident in the Nijmegen region and driven to become an active pillar of the team.
