Job summary

Mars zoekt een ervaren Technical Project Lead die de toekomst van onze Global Food & Nutrition-merken vormgeeft. Je stuurt kritieke renovatieprojecten aan en neemt volledige verantwoordelijkheid voor de productontwikkelings-workstream, van concept tot wereldwijde lancering.

Je beschikt over 5–7 jaar ervaring in productontwikkeling, met bewezen experts in smaakverbetering en renovatie. Een Bachelor of hoger in Food Science/Engineering/Chemistry is vereist, plus uitgebreide PM-vaardigheden;

Qualifications

• Minimaal 5–7 jaar ervaring in productontwikkeling en vertaling van consumenteninzichten naar formuleringen.
• Aantoonbare meesterschap in smaakverbetering en renovatie van producten.
• Bachelor- of hoger diploma in Food Science/Engineering/Chemistry of een gerelateerd vakgebied.
• Aanzienlijke projectmanagementervaring met het leiden van cross-functionele teams in een snelle omgeving.
• Add-on: culinaire opleiding is een pré.

Responsibilities

• Ontwikkel productoplossingen vanaf initiële concepten die aansluiten bij consumentvoordelen en bedrijfsstrategie.
• Leid de productontwikkelingswerkstroom; houd tijd, kosten en kwaliteit in het oog en beïnvloed stakeholders.
• Beheer ontwikkeling van formuleringen door prototyping, met focus op consument en vertaling naar specificaties.
• Intern beheer van risico's in de productontwikkelingswerkstroom en fungeer als technisch leider bij renovatieprojecten.

Je expertise begeleidt productoplossingen van een strategisch concept tot een succesvolle wereldwijde lancering, in samenwerking met een divers netwerk van cross-functionele en regionale partners om tastbare impact te maken op de wereld van morgen.

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Develop product solutions from initial concepts that align with consumer benefits, customer needs, and the global business strategy.
• Lead the product development workstream, effectively managing project delivery to time, cost, and quality while influencing key stakeholders.
• Drive product and formulation development through prototyping, ensuring a consumer-centric mindset to deliver high-performing products and transfer the final design into specifications.
• Effectively manage risks within the product development workstream, serving as the technical lead on renovation projects to deliver on business objectives.

What are we looking for?

• A minimum of 5-7 years of significant experience in product development, with a proven track record of translating deep consumer and technical insights into successful product formulations. This is a senior role, and we are seeking expertise that goes beyond foundational knowledge.
• Demonstrated mastery in flavor enhancement formulation and complex product renovation. We are looking for a candidate who has led multiple projects from concept to completion.
• A Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Food Chemistry, or a related field, complemented by extensive hands‑on experience.
• Substantial project management experience with a history of leading and influencing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
• (Nice-to-have) Culinary education or training that complements your technical proficiency.
