Job summary

De Heus Animal Nutrition B.V. in Ede, Netherlands, seeks an experienced Product Developer Ruminants to translate science and market needs into innovative nutritional solutions for farmers and our international business.

You will bridge Research, local Product Management, and Formulation teams, delivering science-based, locally relevant solutions that create customer value and support business growth. Travel up to 20% and fluent English are required.

Qualifications

Job description

Are you an experienced Product Developer Ruminants with a strong background in Ruminant nutrition, product development and ration calculation? Join De Heus in Ede (Netherlands) and help translate science and market needs into innovative nutritional solutions that create real value for farmers and our international business.

You play a pivotal role in bridging research and practical application. Translating business needs, market demand and research outcomes into impactful nutritional products, tools, concepts and farm management recommendations. This position serves as a bridge between Research, (local) Product Management and Formulation teams, ensuring the delivery of innovative, science-based and locally relevant solutions that create customer value and support business growth, aligned with the needs of our Business Units. Your tasks include:

• Further development of our concepts and tools, together with our researchers;
• Maintaining, updating and further developing our ration calculation program;
• Sparring partner, training and support of our local Product Managers;
• Identifying market needs and business opportunities;
• Collaborating with researchers, product managers, formulators, marketing managers, sales managers.

What do we ask from you?

• Experience in Ruminant Nutrition. We are seeking a ruminant specialist with at least 5 years’ experience in product management and product development and experience with practical ration calculation and farm advice;
• BSc or MSc degree in Animal Sciences, with specialization in animal nutrition;
• You recognize yourself in the following personal characteristics: winning mentality, team player, persuasive, analytical, creative, seeing opportunities and entrepreneurial;
• You are eager to work in an international environment, willing to travel up to 20%;
• You are fluent in English.
