Job summary

A leading biotechnology company in Medemblik is seeking a Manager Buying to oversee their procurement process. In this role, you will manage a team that supports operational buying and continuously improves buying processes. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of relevant experience, a degree in Supply Chain or Logistics, and be fluent in Dutch and English. This part-time position (80%) offers the chance to make significant contributions to essential supply chain operations.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant work experience in a supply chain/procurement position.
• Experience in people coaching.
• Advanced MS Office skills and experience in using reporting tools such as Qliksense or BI.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Buyers and Buying Support Associates in the Buying team.
• Lead, delegate or support projects from buying perspective.
• Support operational buying process.
• Act as a backup for the Manager Planning & Buying.
• Be responsible for KPI’s like supplier OTIF, supplier past due, Inventory.
• Act as a subject matter expert in ERP (SAP) for the buying modules.
• Use DBS to continuously improve the buying processes.
